The discussion and interest in lowering CO2, NO, S and particulate emissions have increased operators’ and shipowners’ interest in investigating future fuel alternatives.
The MEGI engine offers the opportunity of utilising such an alternative. Market research indicates that, in future, gas applications may be installed not only on LNG carriers, but also on LPG, RoRo, and container vessels, i.e. in principle all types of vessels.
