19.05.2003 - In 1998, MAN Turbo received an order to supply an axial compressor for a fuel gas and compressor combined heat and power plant in Italy. The centrifugal compressor is driven by a gas turbine and a generator. The compressor package was supplied complete with instrumentation and control system and commissioned in 1999.

The job of the fuel gas plant in a power station is to supply the gas turbine with fuel gas in line with the required mass flow and pressure parameters. The plant is designed to handle turbine start-up, part- and full-load operation and load rejection.
